For the first time, the event started in ten staggered blocks. With 7,577 runners, this helped to spread out the long parade along the route.
The organizers are still pleased that the Red Cross had so little to do despite the heat. A total of 82 DRK helpers were on duty: 30 ran along the route, and 52 were stationed with vehicles.
Our "Team hsp" had no issues with the heat and finished in 526th place. The main focus was on completing the 5.75 km course together as a team. Once that was accomplished, we headed to the after-run party in the festival tent. There, we could regain our lost energy with good food and cold drinks while enjoying a pleasant evening.
A big thank you to all the organizers for this wonderful event!
